It is difficult to prepare for the exam when there is such a mess around. How many points are enough to enter the budget? You will like the answer!

How many points do you need for a budget at a university

To enter the budget, you need a minimum, or threshold score. That is, so much so that the USE in the subject is simply considered passed. Such options, of course, are rare, but they are still there.

However, many universities accept applicants with rather low scores. It all depends on the city, university and specialty. In Moscow, the scores are higher than in the regions. In top universities it is higher than in middle ones. On popular specialties – higher than on alternatives.

It is clear that with 60-65 points you will not pass to the HSE. But the light did not converge on it. Look for other options:

branches of universities, universities in the regions (albeit top ones, but not in Moscow), other less popular universities in your city, non-state universities, alternative specialties and programs, alternative forms of education (evening, part-time).

How to choose a university for yourself

1. Go to the “USE Calculator”.

2. Enter your expected scores for the subjects you are passing.

3. Done! Here is a list of programs for which you can apply with such a score. Flip through it and find what works for you. Some filters for sorting the received data are paid, but the list itself is available to any user absolutely free.

4. If you want to sort by city, just click on the “Select city” button in the upper right corner of the site. Naturally, it’s free.

Examples of universities with a low score on the budget

We found different low-score options on a budget. For example, you can enroll in “Geology of Oil and Gas” at the North Caucasus Federal University (Stavropol) with an average score of 40.7.

Or on “Mathematics and Informatics” (teacher education) at Tomsk State Pedagogical University (Tomsk) with an average score of 51.33.

Or to “Innovative Textile Technologies” at the Russian State University named after Kosygin (Moscow) with an average score of 44.

This is not an exhaustive list – just three interesting options that we saw. Look for yours!
